Infunde Development, on behalf of InfraCo Asia, will lead the development of the Philippine Smart Microgrids Project that aims to demonstrate the opportunity in rapid electrification of off-grid communities by utilizing smart microgrids under a business model leveraging local distribution partners.

The Project

The Island Cooperative Solar Power Solution project will provide 24/7 access to electricity to off-grid areas in the Philippines through smart grid controller along with off-the-shelf solar and battery components. The first phase of the project involves developing and installing a microgrid project of up to 100 households (0.02MW) across two site locations in Busuanga, Palawan. After successful implementation of the first phase, Infunde will proceed with expansion to 8,000 households in Phase 2 with a local partner
