Philippines Smart Microgrids Power Project

Infunde Development - Infrastructure DevelopmentUncategorized Philippines Smart Microgrids Power Project

Philippines Smart Microgrids Power Project

The Philippines Smart Microgrids Project will provide 24/7 access to electricity to off-grid areas in the Philippines through smart grid controller, advanced bill payment and collection systems, along with off-the-shelf solar and battery components. The first phase of the project involves developing and installing a microgrid project of up to 100 households (0.02MW) in Palawan.

Country and Sectoral Background

The Philippines Smart Microgrids Project will provide 24/7 access to electricity to off-grid areas in the Philippines through smart grid controller, advanced bill payment and collection systems, along with off-the-shelf solar and battery components. The first phase of the project involves developing and installing a microgrid project of up to 100 households (0.02MW) in Palawan.

Based on our analysis, we expect our cost of generation and pricing to be 65% lower than standard rooftop systems. After successful implementation of the first phase in June 2019, Infunde will proceed with expansion to 8,000 households (1.2MW) in Phase 2 with a local partner with a full scale up to 35 MW by 2021.
